We’ve made some changes to allow for a smoother visit for you and your pet.
For your convenience, we are now seeing patients on both an appointment and walk-in basis. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, please call our clinic at 714-537-5390 to schedule your appointment.
Same day walk-in appointments will still be seen as well.
Please read below for more details on our walk-in protocol.
Monday - Friday:
Check-in in begins at 8:00 AM
Doctors start seeing patients at 9:00 AM
Saturday:
Check-in begins at 7:30 AM
Doctors start seeing patients at 9:00 AM
Sunday:
Check-in begins at 9:30 AM
Doctors start seeing patients at 10:00 AM
Walk-In Protocol:
- When you arrive at Community Veterinary Hospital, please come inside and check-in with a client service representative.
- After Check-in, we will give you an
estimated wait time for the doctor to see your pet.
- Monday - Friday appointments are between 9 am - 12 pm
OR 3 pm - 5 pm.
- Saturday appointments are between 9 am - 2 pm.
- Sunday appointments are between 10 am - 1 pm.
- We will do our best to accommodate any special scheduling needs you may have. Our daily capacity is often reached after morning check-in, but if your pet needs urgent care, please call our office.
- After you check-in, we encourage you to return home to wait with your pet. We will keep you updated throughout the day, and will contact you when the doctor is almost ready to see your pet (usually 15 - 30 minutes ahead of time depending on how far away you live). If you need assistance with your pet, please let us know.
Please Keep In Mind:
- The number of patients our doctors can see each day will vary depending on the number of doctors working and each patients medical condition. Very sick patients require more care & time.
- We prioritize emergency patients, so pets may be seen out of order. Surgery patient rechecks and technician visits may also be seen out of order.
- Pets needing annual vaccines must be examined by a doctor.
- Surgical procedures (spay, neuter, etc.) are scheduled after a doctor examines your pet. If needed, the doctor may also perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork or radiographs before surgery.
Medication & Food Pick-Up:
Please allow 24 hours notice for medication and prescription diet refills. You may leave a message on the night recording or call during office hours. We will call you when your medication is ready. When you arrive, come inside and check-in with our client service representatives. We will assist you as quickly as possible!
Emergencies During Business Hours:
If your pet has a medical emergency during business hours, call ahead to alert us (714) 537-5390. We will come to your car to assist with your pet if needed.
After Hours Emergencies:
If your pet has a medical emergency when we are closed, please call the Orange County Emergency Pet Clinic at (714) 462-1829.
