Dayna Wiedenkeller, DVM

Diplomate ACVIM (Internal Medicine)

A proud New Yorker, Dr. Dayna Wiedenkeller earned her Bachelor of Arts from Boston University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 1988. She completed both her internship in small animal medicine and surgery and her residency in small animal internal medicine at the Animal Medical Center in New York City.

Dr. Wiedenkeller is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and is board certified in small animal internal medicine. Before joining Community Veterinary Hospital in 2000, she worked as an internal medicine consultant and cytologist at Antech Diagnostics (formerly Professional Animal Laboratory).

At CVH, Dr. Wiedenkeller enjoys the variety of veterinary medicine, from complex internal medicine and dermatology cases to puppy and kitten visits. She is also a respected leader in the veterinary community, having served as President of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association (SCVMA) and the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA). She currently serves on the AVMA State Advocacy Committee and co-chairs the CVMA Legislative Committee.

Dedicated to education, Dr. Wiedenkeller mentors students from Western University College of Veterinary Medicine during their clinical rotations.

When she’s not at the hospital, Dr. Wiedenkeller enjoys time with family and friends, and her mischievous dog, Marley.
